An Xbox store listing called Scam With Your Friends exists, but it names Hidden Floor Games as both developer and publisher. The Steam game covered by this wiki is developed by JakeHub and Metater and published by Jatater Worldwide. Do not assume that the matching title means the Xbox listing is a console port of that Steam game.
For the JakeHub and Metater edition, the verified platform is Windows PC through Steam. The official sources checked on October 22, 2026 do not establish a relationship between the two store products or confirm a Jatater Xbox, PS5 or mobile release.
Identify the edition before buying
Open the product details and compare the developer and publisher, rather than relying on the title or a search-result thumbnail.
| Product detail | Steam game covered by this wiki | Same-name Microsoft store product |
|---|---|---|
| Store identifier | Steam App 4954910 | Microsoft product 9ns7g759jc3l |
| Developer | JakeHub and Metater | Hidden Floor Games |
| Publisher | Jatater Worldwide | Hidden Floor Games |
| Listed release date | October 2026, Early Access | October 2026 |
| Listed platform information | Windows 10/11, 64-bit | Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC |
The Steam product page and Microsoft product page provide these identity fields. Their different credits do not, by themselves, establish whether the products have an authorized relationship.
If your friends own Steam App 4954910, use that app and its publisher details to identify the edition they play. A PC label on another store product is not enough to establish that it is the same release.
What the Xbox listing confirms
The Microsoft product page lists Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC under “Play with.” It also lists online co-op and cross-platform multiplayer. These claims belong to that Microsoft product.
The cross-platform label does not confirm multiplayer with Steam App 4954910. No matching official announcement in the checked material establishes shared lobbies between the two products. If playing with Steam friends is the reason for your purchase, get confirmation for those exact editions first.
The player counts also need to stay separate: the Microsoft description says up to six players, while the Steam game's Hotfix 2 announcement sets lobby sizes from one to eight. Use the Steam player-limit guide for the game covered here; do not apply the Microsoft description to its lobbies.
These credits belong to the separate Microsoft product, not Steam App 4954910.
Xbox controllers are a separate question
Using an Xbox controller on a Windows PC is a question about input support. It does not establish a native Xbox or PlayStation release.
If you already own the Windows Steam edition and want to use an Xbox controller, platform availability is not the issue to troubleshoot. Follow the controller input guide for the game's input-switching behavior and relevant fixes.
PS5 and mobile availability
The checked Steam page and Jatater official material do not confirm PS5, iPhone, iPad or Android editions of the JakeHub and Metater game. There is no verified release date for those editions in this material.
Check the developer and publisher again if a same-name listing appears on another platform. A PlayStation controller used on a PC does not confirm PS5 availability, and the Microsoft product's cross-platform feature does not establish a mobile edition.
Choose the route that matches your friends
- Ask which store product they own. For this wiki's game, confirm Steam App 4954910 and the JakeHub/Metater development credits.
- Check the hardware for that product. The Steam page lists Windows 10/11 64-bit requirements; the Microsoft listing has its own supported-device list.
- Confirm edition-to-edition multiplayer before purchasing for cross-play. A shared name or generic cross-platform badge is insufficient evidence of a Steam-to-Xbox connection.
For buying or activating the Windows Steam edition, use the Steam key guide.
